Light conditions: grows best in bright light, but will tolerate shade. Direct sunlight will make their leaves fade
Humidity: likes humid environment; too low humidity will cause the leaf tips to turn brown

Interesting fact: the leaves of the plant will fold up at night as though in prayer which is where this plant gets its common name of 'prayer plant'.
